William F. Hamilton

	William F. Hamilton III, 71, of DuQuoin, passed away at 2:37 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2000 at the Good Samaritan RHC in Mt. Vernon.
	William was an electrician for Howell Electric for 43 years.  He was a Protestant.  He was a US Navy veteran of WW II.  He was a member of the DuQuoin Elks Lodge, American Legion and the IBEW #702.
	He was born January 20, 1929 at Paradise Prairie Community in Perry County, the son of Virgil and Myrtle (Bailey) Hamilton.  He married Mary E. Lee on December 31, 1955 at Tamaroa and she survives.
	He is survived by his wife of DuQuoin; one son, William F. Hamilton IV of Riverside, TX; one daughter, Corene L. Alstat and husband Steve of DuQuoin; one brother, Harl L. Hamilton and wife Betty of Florrisant, MO; one sister, Frances Grisham and husband Jack of Cape Girardeau, MO and four grandchildren, Erin L. Smith, Jana A. Smith, Roy William Alstat and Leigh Alstat.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Flossie Marie Hamilton.
	Graveside services were Sunday, April 30 at 2 p.m. at the Primitive Baptist Cemetery at DuQuoin with Dr. Charles Hoekstra officiating.
	There was no visitation.
	The Searby Funeral Home of DuQuoin was in charge of arrangements.
	Interment was in the Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
